i will be posting photos as i get a chance, but in case people are interested in things before i get to the photos, just
email me! in any case here are some
items i have just found ...
- antique wooden stereopticon with a LOT of cards to look at in it.
- about half(?) of a $25 bag of marimekko remnants. mostly smallish (smaller than 1 foot square) pieces of large prints. mostly earth/dark colors, also ones with a lot of yellow, also a children's print of buses and cars on light blue.
- "bruce stringbean" Springsteen parody toy like the one shown here.
- old binoculars case out of leather with velvet-ish insides. very sturdy. no strap. could be an alternative case for small dolls such as pukis or other small tinies.
- elephant motif embroidered backpack purse out of black velvetish material with a lot of large embroideries in bright colors all over it (from India or east Asia)
- leather handcrafted wallet with a large hand-colored picture of a very detailed bug on the front.
- oval-ish wooden box purse that looks more vintage than it probably is. decoupaged with some old-looking pictures and varnished. needs the latch repaired if you would be using it as a purse. it could also work as a very sturdy box to keep things in, if you took off the handle.
and then some
general categories of things i have to swap...
- quilting tools that were given to me (a triangle measurer + more things i don't understand)
- probably some vintage-ish patterns, if i can find them.
- spanish-language & french-language ephemera, especially french tourism brochures, outdated almanacs from mexico, and outdated computer magazines from Spain.
- other ephemera or papercrafting materials.
- probably some fabric, once i do another sorting out.
- ditto on some clothes that deserve to be reconned but i don't have the skill.
- a lot of international items, sort of tourist souvenirs from many places.
- a giant roll of large, sturdy mesh. maybe somebody could do huge embroideries on it?
- jewellery-making supplies (some vintage) ... this particular batch is gone but it's a fairly representative sample of stuff i tend to find:

- doll parts (mostly barbie size) and clothes. a few BJD items such as eyes, but nothing fancy.
link to some doll-related items.
- silver and silver-plate serving dishes/etc. ("spare antiques" that were given to me but have no sentimental family value)
the pics are HERE. - INTERNATIONAL SPECIAL: if you don't live in USA, i can send you freezer paper, mod-podge, e6000, etc. in exchange for something from there.
- chachivaches, tchotchkes, knick-knacks, odd bits, etc...
